Henrietta is a proud Cincinnati native, who has an eclectic mix of experience to contribute to the growth and development of the Junior Melanin Collective. She is a devoted mother of two young adults and a seasoned police sergeant with a devoted 16-year tenure on the force. She is a licensed cosmetologist by trade, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati with a minor in Deaf Studies.
Beyond her professional achievements, Henrietta has a deep passion for fashion, beauty, education, creative arts and event planning. She has immersed herself in each field throughout her career from connecting with families through Hamilton County Job & Family Services, training fellow Officers on policing in the Dear community, participating in various Police Task forces, hosting lock-ins for at risk youth, planning weddings and fashion shows, and more.
Her unwavering commitment to youth initiatives has earned her a reputation as a true community leader.
Henrietta's involvement in the community supporting programs such as the Mirror Movement organization program, where she has used her time, talents, and resources to elevate the program has made a meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
Her affections for planning, beauty and fashion is evident in her personal style and involvement in the local arts community. She is a frequent patron of galleries and museums, and she has been known to lend her expertise in creative spaces. These experiences have equipped Henrietta with a unique perspective on the intersection between education, law enforcement, planning, and creative arts believing that who we are and what we create matters and must make a difference.
